Adrian Christian Schmidt, 26, of Cincinnati, Ohio, traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Jan. 6, 2021 rally and, at about 12:50 p.m., joined a crowd pushing against a line of barricades manned by U.S. Capitol Police near the Peace Circle Monument, contributing to the breach of the outer perimeter; he then moved to the front of the mob gathered at a black metal fence on the West Plaza, jumped the fence as the crowd surged forward, and again pushed to the front to confront a line of officers. He pleaded guilty to one felony charge, civil disorder. He was sentenced on 11/5/2025 to 14 months of incarceration, 36 months of supervised release, and $2,000 in restitution.
