Andres Enrique Camberos

Andres Enrique Camberos, operating through his company Specialty Foods International, ran a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme alongside his sister Adriana Camberos between January 2019 and September 2023. The siblings misrepresented to manufacturers that wholesale groceries and other goods would be exported to Mexico or sold to prisons and rehabilitation facilities — categories that qualified for steep discounted pricing. Instead, they sold the products at higher prices to US distributors for the domestic market, causing manufacturers to lose tens of millions of dollars. Specialty Foods International generated substantial profits through the scheme, with Andres personally paying himself over $14 million. A federal jury in San Diego convicted him on October 25, 2024, on one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and seven counts of wire fraud and aiding and abetting.
