Bryan Wayne Ivey, 28, of Crossville, Tennessee, traveled to Washington, D.C. for the "Stop the Steal" rally and, when he found it too crowded, joined the mob at the Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, where he stood at a door and waved additional rioters inside, spending about 35 minutes in the building, mostly in the Rotunda, recording videos on his phone that he later deleted. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building, with other charges dismissed. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation, including 60 days of home detention or location monitoring, a $10 special assessment, and $500 in restitution.
