Connie Meggs

Connie Meggs, the wife of Oath Keepers Florida chapter leader Kelly Meggs, donned a ballistic helmet, an Oath Keepers hat, and tactical vest and joined a military-style "stack" of Oath Keepers members that pushed into the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot; prosecutors said she was "far from a hapless tag-along" and fully participated in the group's conspiracy. She pleaded not guilty to all charges; a jury found her guilty on 3/20/2023 of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to prevent an officer from discharging duties, destruction of government property, and entering a restricted building. At her sentencing, she broke with her husband, tearfully telling the court she was "so angry" at him for what he had done to their family. She was sentenced on 8/30/2023 to 15 months of incarceration, 36 months of supervised release, a $425 special assessment, and $500 in restitution.
