David Paul Daniel

Despite receiving Trump's pardon for his Jan. 6 assault conviction, Daniel remained jailed on separate federal charges of producing and possessing child sexual abuse material involving two young girls in North Carolina.

Daniel entered a plea agreement to admit guilt to child sexual exploitation charges, including producing sexually explicit images of a child under 12. A federal judge had previously ruled Trump's Jan. 6 pardon did not extend to the child exploitation charges.
