Dillon Colby Herrington, 31, of Madison, Alabama, who became known online as the "MAGA Lumberjack," carried a knife and taser to the "Stop the Steal" rally and, on the West Plaza during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, repeatedly taunted a police defense line by displaying his middle finger and shouting threats, then threw a water bottle, a COVID mask, a piece of lumber, a bike rack, and an object marked "danger high voltage" at officers. He pleaded guilty on June 22, 2023 to a felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers. He was sentenced to 37 months in prison and 36 months of supervised release.
