Donald Hazard, 44, of Hurst, Texas, sergeant-at-arms of the self-described militia Patriot Boys of North Texas, prepared for Jan. 6, 2021 by gathering a military-style helmet, knuckle gloves, goggles, body armor, and pepper spray, then during the Capitol riot grabbed a Capitol Police officer and pulled him down a set of concrete steps, knocking him unconscious and causing a concussion and foot injuries requiring multiple surgeries. He pleaded guilty on Feb. 16, 2023 to a felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers. U.S. District Judge Randolph D. Moss sentenced him to 57 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and $2,000 in restitution.
