On Jan. 6, he crossed onto the restricted Capitol grounds, climbed scaffolding on the Lower West Terrace to direct the crowd toward entrances, and entered the building through a broken window. Afterward, while driving back to California, he pressed another member of his group to delete photo and video evidence linking them to the riot. He was convicted of conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, and entering a restricted building, and was sentenced to 51 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and $2,000 in restitution.
