Convicted of
Charged in a nine-count federal indictment in July 2021, alongside four co-defendants, two of whom identified themselves as members of the Proud Boys. On January 6, 2021, George allegedly assaulted a law enforcement officer and stole an American flag and flagpole from the Capitol. Additional charges included entering and remaining in a restricted building, entering the gallery of Congress, civil disorder, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of an official proceeding. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. The obstruction charge was dismissed by the court in December 2024; the government moved to dismiss all remaining charges with prejudice on January 22, 2025, two days after Trump's mass pardon of January 6 defendants.
