Convicted of
Graydon Young, 55, of Florida, an Oath Keeper, was part of a "stack" formation that maneuvered through the crowd and into the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot as part of an alleged coordinated plan among 16 Oath Keepers, including his sister, to use encrypted communications and an armed "quick reaction force" stationed nearby to oppose certification of the 2020 election; he later testified that he and fellow Oath Keepers had an "implicit agreement" to oppose what they saw as "corrupt elements" of the government, describing it as feeling like a "Bastille-type moment." He became the first Oath Keeper to plead guilty to conspiracy, pleading guilty to two charges, conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding, and agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors, including testifying against co-defendants; other charges, including destruction of government property, were dismissed. He was sentenced on 11/22/2024 to 36 months of probation, a $200 special assessment, and $2,000 in restitution.
