Hollie Ann Nadel

Hollie Ann Nadel's conviction arose directly from her exploitation by a Roma sex and labor trafficking organization that manipulated her into participating in financial schemes while transporting her across the country. Lured into the trafficking ring and operating under coercion, Nadel was used by her traffickers to commit fraud against others. Her attorneys at Ifrah Law negotiated a plea agreement limiting the charges to a single conspiracy count — conspiracy to commit money laundering and bank fraud — rather than the broader charges originally filed. Nadel's cooperation with federal prosecutors proved pivotal to the subsequent prosecution of her traffickers: five Roma conspirators were indicted as a result of her assistance and all were sentenced to prison. Following her pardon, Nadel became an advocate for trafficking survivors, testifying before Congress in support of the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Act of 2025, which would allow survivors to seek judicial relief from convictions stemming from their exploitation.
