Jake Lang

Lang was never tried or convicted on any of his January 6 charges. He was indicted on 11 federal counts in the District of Columbia stemming from the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Charges included three counts of civil disorder (18 U.S.C. § 231(a)(3)); assault on federal officers (18 U.S.C. § 111(a)(1)); two counts of assault on federal officers using a dangerous weapon — a baseball bat and a stolen police shield (18 U.S.C. §§ 111(a)(1) and (b)); obstruction of an official proceeding (18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2)); disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building with a deadly weapon (18 U.S.C. § 1752(a)(2)); engaging in physical violence in a restricted building with a deadly weapon (18 U.S.C. § 1752(a)(4)); and disorderly conduct and physical violence in a Capitol building (40 U.S.C. § 5104). Lang pleaded not guilty to all counts. Trump's blanket pardon on January 20, 2025 dismissed all charges before the case went to trial.
