Jeffrey Michael Etter

Jeffrey Michael Etter, co-founder of the now-defunct CrossFit Slice gym in Portsmouth, Virginia, climbed through a broken window into the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and remained inside for about 33 minutes, yelling profanity and obscenities at Metropolitan Police Department officers; he was identified in part through a distinctive pair of shoes seen in riot footage that FBI agents matched to his CrossFit gym photos. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of entering and remaining in a restricted building. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
