Date pardoned
20 January 2025
Day 1 of term →
Convicted of
John M. Cameron, a 55-year-old real estate broker from Port Orchard, Washington, breached the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and spent about 20 minutes inside, including in an office suite and the Crypt, before exiting through a broken window at police direction. At his sentencing, he asked the judge — a Reagan appointee — to guess his favorite president, answering "Ronald Reagan" in an apparent attempt to build rapport, which did not go over well with the court. He pleaded guilty to parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building and was sentenced on Aug. 15, 2022 to three years of probation, 30 days of intermittent confinement, a $1,000 fine, and $500 in restitution.
