Convicted of
Katherine Staveley Schwab, a Fort Worth, Texas real estate agent, flew to Washington, D.C. on a private jet chartered by Facebook friend Jason Lee Hyland, along with fellow realtor Jennifer "Jenna" Ryan, to attend the Jan. 6, 2021 "Save America" rally; after hearing the Capitol had been breached, the group returned to the building, where Schwab told investigators she "knew she wanted to enter," walked around inside for about seven minutes before being escorted out by police, then remained outside for roughly an hour urging rioters to resist officers' efforts to disperse the crowd, and admitted to kicking and throwing media equipment with others in the mob. She pleaded guilty to one charge, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, with other charges, including an act of physical violence, dismissed. She was sentenced on 12/9/2022 to 45 days of incarceration, 12 months of supervised release, a $25 special assessment, and $500 in restitution.
