Kene Brian Lazo

Kene Brian Lazo, a Filipino-American from Norfolk, Virginia, was photographed dressed as a "walis tambo" man carrying a traditional Philippine broom while participating in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol; a tipster recognized a sticker from Lazo's steel-erecting business on his construction helmet, and Facebook posts confirmed his presence. He pleaded guilty in March 2022 to a misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building, with other charges dismissed. He was sentenced on 8/18/2022 to 45 days of incarceration, a $10 special assessment, and $500 in restitution; he was later pardoned for the Jan. 6 case but separately arrested afterward on an unrelated charge of sexually assaulting a child.
