Kyle Andrew Campbell

Kyle Andrew Campbell, 31, of Columbus, Ohio, trampled over a police fence and made his way to the Capitol's West Plaza during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, where the crowd pushed him into an officer holding a riot shield; Campbell then forcibly rushed and struck the officer and shield several times before retreating, remaining at the Plaza for at least another hour and later moving to the Upper West Terrace. He was arrested by the FBI on Dec. 11, 2023 and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of assaulting law enforcement. He was sentenced on Oct. 31, 2024 to four months in prison, four months of home confinement, 36 months of supervised release, and $2,000 in restitution.
