Logan James Barnhart

Logan James Barnhart, a pipelayer and former bodybuilder and romance-novel cover model from Holt, Michigan — nicknamed "#CatSweat" by online investigators who identified him through facial recognition — joined a mob confronting police at the Archway leading into the Capitol from the Lower West Terrace on Jan. 6, 2021. At about 4:27 p.m., as co-defendant Jack Wade Whitton struck an officer with a crutch, Barnhart climbed over a banister, grabbed the officer's ballistic vest by the neck, and helped drag the officer down the steps and into the crowd, where other rioters beat him with weapons including a flagpole and a baton. Barnhart pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon and was sentenced to 36 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, a $3,688 fine, and $2,000 in restitution.
