Matthew Huttle

Matthew Huttle, of Hebron, Indiana, traveled to Washington, D.C. with his uncle Dale Huttle for the January 6, 2021 "Stop the Steal" rally. According to court documents, as the pair marched toward the Capitol, Matthew declared "We're going to see if we can get inside!" and later "We're going to have to go up the side . . . . Cops, a lot of cops." Matthew entered the Capitol building and remained inside for approximately 16 minutes, recording video on his phone, before both Huttles remained on Capitol grounds until after 5:00 p.m. He was charged on twelve counts alongside his uncle. Huttle pleaded guilty in July 2023 to entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds.
