Michael Gareth Adams

Michael Gareth Adams, of Springfield, Virginia, was identified after the FBI received tips, including one that he had bragged about being among the first people inside the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Video and images showed Adams entering the building carrying a Trump flag in one hand and a longboard in the other before making his way to the Senate parliamentarian's office. After his April 2021 arrest, Adams failed to appear at multiple court hearings, prompting a bench warrant and more than a year and a half as a fugitive before he surrendered to authorities in January 2023. He pleaded guilty in May 2023 to parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building and was sentenced to 60 days in prison.
