Raymund Joseph Cholod, 54, of Tallahassee, Florida, was among the first rioters to enter the Lower West Terrace Tunnel at the U.S. Capitol at about 2:41 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2021, quickly moving to the front of the mob confronting a police line and joining a coordinated "heave-ho" push against officers; he also picked up a long stick from the ground and threw it into the tunnel toward the police. He pleaded guilty on Feb. 12, 2024 to a felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers, though prosecutors noted he later blamed police and Ray Epps for his conduct.
