Troy Anthony Smocks

Troy Anthony Smocks, 58, of Dallas, Texas, traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Jan. 6, 2021 rally and, though not accused of entering the Capitol itself, posted a series of threats on his Parler account from his Washington hotel room over the following two days, including a message that "many of us will return on January 19th, 2021, carrying our weapons" and a post urging followers to "hunt down" and target "RINOS, Dems, and Tech Execs," which was viewed tens of thousands of times before his arrest. He pleaded guilty to the charge of transmitting threats in interstate commerce. He was sentenced on 10/22/2021 to 14 months of incarceration, 36 months of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
